A2 Transition week - McHammer Video
During the time in which we created this music video, i learnt how to effectively use "Adobe Premiere CS3" to edit, cut, transition and adjust various clips. We regularly copied clips, and layered them on top of each other. Lowering the opacity of one clip, and altering the contrast of the other gave a really genuine aged effect. Not only was this more visually interesting, but created an atmosphere of memories, as if looking back on old fashioned dance moves. We also cut the clips hudreds of time, making the video more fast pace and exciting, reflecting not only the origional version, but making it less boring to watch. The "Fig Rig" was also a new experience for me. This rig was a steering wheel shaped stand for the camera. It allowed us to steadily hold the shot, but also gave us the opportunity to roll the camera, turning the entire image in a 360o angle. Combining the new facilities at our disposal offered a really "retro" feel to the song and finished us with not only an entertaining music video, but one which reflects the genre of the song.
